Process: Semi-Washed (Wet Hulled- 'Giling Basah')
Altitude: 1200 - 1500m
Roast: Medium
Strength: 3.5/5
Characteristics: A lovely microlot; well-balanced with a creamy, full body and rich flavours of ripe fruit and dark chocolate. Smooth, sweet and earthy with a hint of spice.
Further Information: The 'Wahana Estate' was established in the year 2005 and is located in 'Lae Mungkur' village, in the 'Sidikalang' region in Northern Sumatra, Indonesia. Historically, the region has been one of the most popular in terms of coffee production and its mild climate creates the perfect conditions for growing sweeter cherries with a higher sugar content.
Additionally, the plantation employs organic growing techniques and adheres to 'Rainforest Alliance' procedures, although they are as of yet not officially certified.
