Back in October 2019, on what now seems like a different planet, I visited our coffee suppliers in London for a coffee tasting event featuring coffee supplied by single farmers from the Cauca region situated in the south of Colombia.
After cupping all the coffee on the table, I was quick to pounce and secure what I considered the best of the bunch.
Grown by farmer Carlos Alberto Gonzales (great name!) Only 3 bags of this coffee were available, all of which I secured
This washed processed coffee is of the ‘La Laguna’ varietal and we have given it a medium roast. Mild in body and sweet tasting with a pleasant citrus acidity.
As this is a ‘121’ we pay a premium on this coffee with 70% of the cost going direct to the farmer.
Stay safe folks!
