Maragogype is a mutant variety of coffee bean. These abnormally large beans are sometimes known as elephant beans due to their large size!
Las Nubes are the third generation growing coffee. Starting with growing Caturras, Pacamaras, and Bourbon, and discovering the Java varieties, they grow microlots from the farm looking to a niche customer who likes enjoy a very good coffee with the best quality profile.
Finca Las Nubes is both a farm, a beneficio and the name of the group that represents their other farms. At 302 hectares and located in Fila Grande, Matagalpa, the farm and the varietal has seen them win awards in Cup Of Excellence.

The beneficio is equipped with a low water consumption demucilager, and the run off from the channels the beans are transported by is turned in to a fertilizer and reused on the farm.
