Description: El Salvador Red Honey is a vibrant and refined coffee grown in the Miramar area of Los Nogales farm, one of the highest points of the estate.
Processed using the red honey method, a portion of the natural fruit mucilage is left on the bean during drying, enhancing sweetness and complexity while maintaining clarity.
Roasted to a medium level, it opens with bright notes of green apple and strawberry, followed by a lively grapefruit acidity. A delicate black tea character adds depth, while a touch of maple syrup brings a smooth, lingering sweetness to the finish.
Carefully cultivated and processed over around 15 days on raised beds, this coffee reflects precision and attention to detail at every stage.
Available as whole beans or ground and freshly roasted in Aberdeen.

The coffee beans arrived without a roast date and were obviously old. I’ve ordered from multiple roasters in the past including square mile and origin, and these were by far the worst beans I’ve ever had. The beans had obviously degassed and lost their flavour profile. It seems this is a common complaint with Macbeans. Btw, having a “roast” date on the shop wall doesn’t help those who purchase online. Avoid like kryptonite.
